What is the Intensive Musical Theatre Camps?

We're so glad you asked! It is a 5-day summer camp for all ages to learn an entire show and perform it live on the fifth day of the camp. The public is invited to the show! You can learn more on our Programs page.

  • Limited Availability: To ensure a quality experience for all, spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Secure your place early!
  • Role Assignment: Talent shines in many forms. Roles within our productions are assigned based on individual skill level and natural ability, ensuring a fit that helps each camper shine.

Code of Conduct
  1. Attendance and Punctuality: Campers must arrive on time and attend all scheduled sessions unless excused for a valid reason.
  2. Respect: All campers, staff, and visitors must be treated respectfully. This includes listening when others are speaking, respecting personal space, and being considerate of the feelings and belongings of others.
  3. Participation: Active participation is expected in all activities. Campers should be prepared to engage, learn, and contribute positively to the camp experience.
  4. Safety: Follow all safety guidelines camp staff provides, especially during activities requiring physical movement or equipment use. No running, pushing, or rough play.
  5. Personal Belongings: Campers are responsible for their belongings. The camp is not liable for lost or stolen items. Label all personal items with the camper's name.
  6. Electronic Devices: Phones, tablets, and other electronic devices may be restricted to certain times and places to ensure engagement.
  7. Dress Code: Wear appropriate attire for active participation in camp activities. Specific performances may require costumes or special dress, which will be provided and communicated beforehand.
  8. Food and Drink: Only bring nut-free snacks and lunches, if applicable. Share food only if it meets safety and allergy guidelines.
  9. Health and Medication: Inform camp staff of medical conditions or medications. Medications must be given to camp staff with instructions.
  10. Bullying and Harassment: Bullying, harassment, or any form of intimidation will not be tolerated. Campers experiencing or witnessing inappropriate behavior should report it to camp staff immediately.
  11. Cleanliness and Environment: Keep personal and camp spaces clean. Dispose of trash properly and recycle when possible.
  12. End-of-Day Procedure: Campers must be signed out daily by authorized individuals.
Camp Registration

Registration Details: Join us with ease! Our registration process is entirely online, designed for your convenience. Ensure your spot in our acclaimed summer camps by registering early (and use the coupon codes to save). Navigate to the Summer Camp events to start the seamless registration journey.

Payment Information: Secure your registration with payment. We accept online payments via credit card, ensuring a smooth and secure transaction. For those preferring to pay by cash or check, register online and complete your payment at least one week before the camp's start date to confirm your spot.

Deadline for Registration and Payment: Registration closes one week before a camp start date, and full payment is required by this deadline to secure your place. Late registration payments may result in losing your spot.

Confirmation: You'll receive an email confirmation upon successful online registration and payment. Keep this for your records—it's your ticket to an unforgettable summer experience!

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Policy

Drop-Off Procedure: Campers should be dropped off at the designated area [first floor at 3126 Kings Hwy Suffolk VA 23435] at least 15 minutes early each day. Instructions will be emailed for the Friday (final day). To ensure a smooth process, please adhere to the scheduled times and follow instructions from our staff members.

Pick-Up Procedure: Campers can be picked up at the same designated area no more than 15 minutes after camp ends from Monday to Thursday. Instructions will be emailed for the Friday (final day). Early pick-up must be pre-arranged with camp staff. Please provide a valid photo ID when picking up your camper.

Authorized Pick-Up: Only individuals authorized on the camper's registration form can pick up campers. If someone other than the authorized individuals will pick up the camper, please inform us via email at hello@tadaschoolofperformingarts.com.

Late Pick-Up: Campers not picked up on time may incur a late fee of $10. Repeated late pick-ups may result in further action to ensure the well-being and safety of all campers.

Safety Measures: For the safety of our campers, all drop-off and pick-up will be supervised by TADA staff. We appreciate your cooperation in following these procedures to ensure a safe and efficient experience.

🚨 Urgent Payment Deadline Notice

Payment Deadline: Please be advised that all camp payments are due at the time of registration—cash/check must be paid within 7 days of registration. This is a firm deadline to ensure fairness and allow thorough planning and resource allocation.

Mandatory Payment Compliance: Payment must be completed within this timeframe to secure your registration. Failure to comply with this payment deadline will result in the automatic cancellation of your registration. This policy is enforced without exception to prevent last-minute cancellations and ensure that all interested participants have a fair opportunity to attend our popular camps.

Responsibility to Secure Registration: We strongly urge all online registrants to prioritize this payment deadline. Late payments cannot be accommodated. Protect your spot by adhering to this crucial deadline.

Camp Refund Policy

At TADA School of Performing Arts, we understand that plans can change and strive to accommodate those changes within our camp structure. To ensure fairness to all our campers and maintain the quality of our programs, we have established the following refund policy:

  • Cancellation Notice: To be eligible for a refund, a cancellation notice must be submitted in writing to hello@tadaschoolofperformingarts.com no later than two weeks before the camp start date.
  • Refund Amount: A full refund will be provided for cancellations made two weeks or more before the camp starts, minus a $50 administrative fee to cover processing costs.
  • Late Cancellation: For cancellations made less than two weeks before the camp start date, a 50% refund will be issued.
  • No Refund: No refunds for cancellations made one week or less before the camp start date will be issued. This policy is in place to ensure that we can offer your child's spot to another interested camper on our waiting list.
  • Exceptional Circumstances: We understand that exceptional circumstances (such as illness or family emergencies) may necessitate last-minute cancellations. These will be considered case-by-case, and we may offer a partial refund or credit towards a future camp.
  • Missed Days: No refunds or credits will be issued for missed days during the camp session.

This policy is designed to be transparent and fair, ensuring we can provide all participants with the highest quality experience. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these guidelines.

Video Audition

We are thrilled to have your child enrolled in one of our exciting summer camps at TADA School of Performing Arts! As part of our preparation to make this summer both memorable and rewarding, we require each camper to submit an audition video. This helps our instructors tailor the camp experience to each student's abilities and ensures that every child can shine in their role.

Audition Video Requirements:

  • Length: Please keep the video between 45 to 60 seconds.
  • Content: We'd love to see your child perform a Broadway song, ideally one from the show they will participate in this summer. Start the video by stating a name, age, and grade.
  • Purpose: The video will assist our team in assigning roles that align with each camper's strengths and provide a fulfilling experience throughout the camp.

Submission Instructions:

  1. Record your child's performance on a smartphone or camera with clear audio.
  2. Visit our submission form here.
  3. Upload the video file directly through the form.

Deadline for Submission: Please ensure your video is uploaded by the summer camp registration deadline (find dates listed here).

We understand that performing can be nerve-wracking, but encourage your child to have fun and express creativity! This is a chance for them to showcase their talent and for us to get to know them better artistically.

Cast Announcement & Script

Cast Announcement: The cast will be announced by email two weeks after registration closes and all auditions have been received. We appreciate your patience and enthusiasm during this creative process.

Script Pickup: After announcing the cast list, scripts will be available for pickup. Please text 757-774-2915 to arrange a collection time.
